David Smith St Ives (DSSI) is a timber engineering specialist and timber product manufacturer, best known for its bespoke staircases, architectural doorsets and fire doors, floor joists, timber roof trusses and spandrel panels. Recently acquired by the Wykham Blackwell and Keystone Group, it is a trusted supplier to major housebuilders, contractors, architects and self builders.
DSSI wanted to step up its marketing activity, present a more modern image and increase inbound leads from its target markets.
LMC started work with DSSI with a facilitated workshop to review the market and persona research we had conducted, to look at DSSI's existing website and digital marketing analytics, and to develop a strategy to refresh the company’s brand, develop a new website and create stylish new brochures for key products, including the timber stairs business.
In the year following the launch of the new website, DSSI saw a dramatic increase in web traffic and new business enquiries coming through the website. Approximately 25% of those new business enquires converted into sales. Enquiries during the Covid years remained steady, demonstrating the impact and effectiveness of the site even during a difficult economic climate.
