Property expertise
Working across all of Trident's regional and national offices, LMC built the profile of its expert surveyors, with media comment and informed analysis across multiple issues - from the impact of Brexit on local property markets, to the use of the latest proptech innovations, and articles on topics as varied as BIM, boundary disputes and party walls, skills shortages, flood mitigation and repairs, planned preventative maintenance, sustainability and rights of light.
Over the course of several years, Trident built a strong working relationship with all its priority media and was frequently featured in Property Week, Estates Gazette and other titles, as well as business and regional press.
LMC supported Trident's regular entries into construction and property awards, for its excellent projects, its people and its leadership on issues such as proptech and fire safety.
Fire safety expertise
After the Grenfell tragedy all eyes were on how the real estate sector would respond. Following the Hackitt Review, Trident Building Consultancy’s executive director Matt Clare was appointed to one of the working groups set up to address the issues with the way that fire safety was managed within buildings.
Working sensitively, LMC arranged for Matt to talk to journalists about the problems within the UK’s built assets. This was supported by detailed briefing packs and case study material. LMC also helped Trident develop learning materials and a detailed fire safety manifesto. The latter was used as a lobbying tool, putting the onus on consultants to improve and take responsibility, rather than wait for legislation to force the issue.
