James Latham is one of the UK's largest independent distributors of timber, panels and decorative surfaces. With a history reaching back over 260 years, the company has always been an innovator.
So while traditionally Lathams is best known as a timber business, it came to LMC to help achieve greater market awareness for its newest product ranges, including thermoplastic laminates which could help specifiers create safer interiors during the coronavirus pandemic.
Working alongside Lathams' creative and digital teams, LMC was tasked with promoting a suite of products that offer heightened protection during the Covid-19 pandemic, such as heavy-duty anti-microbial materials able to withstand harsher cleaning regimes.
We proposed a sector-focused campaign, with products arranged by the level of protection that they offered. We created tailored media relations campaigns for the retail, education, health, leisure and hospitality and workplace sectors, which were supported by infographics, case studies and animations.
Our other PR work for Lathams also targeted a broad range of its trade customers, from contractors and merchants, to designers and makers, helping to support the 'You Think You Know Lathams' campaign which was named Best Mid-Range Budget Campaign at the Construction Marketing Awards 2020.
