Exciting news! Today we have announced a senior leadership restructure at LMC, with Dan Gerrella appointed managing director and founder Liz Male MBE moving into the role of executive chair. Hannah Carpenter has been promoted to associate director, with responsibility for talent development and quality assurance.

The changes underpin our next phase of growth, building on our recent launch of new services covering lower-carbon communications, data-driven PR and specialist influencer collaborations within construction.

LMC is a PR, communications and collaborations consultancy which works with innovators and change-makers in property, construction and the built environment.

Incorporated 23 years ago, we ranked 36 in PR Week’s list of top B2B agencies in 2025, and 39th for all PR agencies outside London.

We have been recognised consistently in the PRCA Workplace Champions awards for the past five years and were a winner in the Top 50 Inspiring Workplaces in EMEA in 2023.

Dan Gerrella has been with LMC for seven years. He has more than 15 years’ experience in built environment PR, working in the UK and internationally and specialising in corporate positioning and reputation, community engagement and crisis and issues management.

This year, Dan also started his role as president-elect of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).

Hannah Carpenter has worked for LMC for over a decade, starting her career as a journalism graduate and rapidly developing expert status to support clients in a range of complex areas.

This includes building safety, where she has helped develop the Building Safety Wiki. A free resource for professionals working across regulation, design, construction, remediation and fire safety, it has over 70,000 active users.

Liz Male said: “Dan has already helped LMC more than double in size since he joined us, increasing our client base, growing the team and introducing new services, while working on some of the biggest stories in construction. It has been a pleasure watching him grow as a leader within LMC, and it is the perfect time for him to take on the MD role.

“From day one, Hannah has championed the LMC culture and driven the highest standards of client service and personal and professional growth for the whole team. Her skills are the perfect complement to Dan’s. I am excited to see how they will lead the business through the pivotal years ahead, supporting a construction sector that contributes 7% of GDP, employs 9% of the UK workforce and is absolutely critical to future economic and environmental success.

“These leadership changes are the start of a new and important chapter for LMC, focusing both on achieving greater impact in the industry we serve, and fulfilling our purpose as the best possible employer we can be.

“As executive chair, I’ll be focusing my energy on agency innovation, senior counsel and strategic partnerships, while also continuing my non-executive career.”
