LMC’s Associate Director, Dan Gerrella, has been named 2026 President-Elect of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
The CIPR is the world's only Royal Chartered body for public relations professionals. Committed to professional standards and lifelong learning, the Institute has over 11,000 members located throughout the world.
In his role, Dan will be responsible for driving the CIPR strategy, representing members and volunteers, and building the profile of the PR sector.
Dan said: “I’m honoured to take on this position at a time of significant change for both PR and the built environment. Strategic, high-value communication has never been more important, and I hope to use this role as an opportunity to bridge both industries."
Dan has been involved with the CIPR for many years, including a four-year stint on its Board of Directors and two years on the Council. It reflects his deep commitment to advancing the profession and supporting the next generation of communicators.
He added that taking on the presidency was a positive reflection of LMC's culture: "One of the great things about LMC is our focus on giving back," he explained.
"The majority of the team are active volunteers, non-exec directors and committee members across both the PR and construction industries. It's this commitment that helps us to truly understand and contribute to the sectors that we're in, and stay at the forefront of what is happening."
Dan will begin a new three-year term on the CIPR Board next year, serving as President-Elect in 2026, President in 2027, and Past-President in 2028.
That means he will continue to work with the current CIPR President, Advita Patel, as well as her successor, Farzana Baduel.
Commenting on the election result, Advita said: “Having worked with Dan on our Board for a number of years, I know he has a deep understanding of the profession and the Institute with a genuine commitment to strengthening the CIPR for every member. I have no doubt he will be a fantastic President-Elect and an outstanding President in 2027.”
Liz added: “Dan is a driving force in the PR industry, combining strategic insight with a passion for professional standards and ethical communication. His experience leading international communication strategies across diverse markets brings a valuable perspective to his work at LMC and his role within the CIPR.
“We are incredibly proud of Dan’s achievement and look forward to seeing the positive impact he’ll continue to make, both here at LMC and across the wider PR community.”
