Well, the momentous news about LMC keeps on coming in 2026, with confirmation this week that LMC has successfully achieved B Corp certification, following independent assessment by B Lab.
A Certified B Corporation™, or B Corp™, is a company verified as meeting B Lab standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. There are currently about 2,400 B Corp certified businesses in the UK, a quarter of all the 10,000 B Corps worldwide.
So today we join an international community of business leaders who share a firm belief that business can solve social and environmental problems for the long-term benefit of all.
At LMC, we have B Corp clients and B Corp suppliers, as well as a range of services designed to reduce carbon and achieve positive change in property, construction and the built environment.
LMC has been shown to meet B Lab’s integrated social, environmental, and governance standards. This embeds our purpose and plans for positive impact in our company DNA, so that we’re aware of our impact on people and the planet.
B Corp certification has not been a quick win - we've had to provide clear evidence about our employment practices, environmental impacts, community commitments and many other aspects of our ESG policy.
But we are completely delighted to have got the certification the first time around, which is rare.
There is still loads of room for improvement. The process of B Corp assessment is a powerful mechanism to help us set new goals for that improvement, create more positive social and environmental impact, and track our performance over time.
We are always keen to learn from others (and share what we've learned too), so if you'd like to know more about B Corp certification or can share with us anything that you have done that helped you raise your B Impact Score, do get in touch.
