The LMC Innovations Book Vol 2 was unveiled at UKREiiF today.
Covering 102 innovations in the world of property and construction, it is a follow up to the first edition produced for our 20th anniversary in 2023.
Entries in the book include ways to decarbonise projects, derisk projects, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance, particularly related to the Building Safety Act.
Dan Gerrella, associate director at LMC, said: “One of the things that excites us most here is when a new innovation comes to market that is going to make a major difference to the sector.
“There is so much activity in the industry, from existing players developing new ideas, technologies and materials, to full on disruptors, entering the built environment for the first time.
“The Innovations Book is our way of capturing some of these stories and sharing them, to inspire others to take these innovations on themselves and deliver change.”
Copies of the book were given to attendees at LMC’s panel session at UKREiiF: “Transforming the built environment: how to change culture, drive innovation, and attract the next generation in the built environment.”
Covering topics including driving digital adoption, adapting to new legislation and guidelines, and telling impactful stories, the event celebrated successful examples of change being delivered in the sector.
Panellists included Suzannah Nichol OBE, Chief Executive at Build UK, Abigail Scott Paul, Global Head of the Humanise campaign, Kate Perrin, Marketing Director at Barbour ABI, and Yetunde Abdul, Director of Industry Transformation at UK Green Building Council (UKGBC).
