Liz has over 30 years’ experience in communications for property, construction and the built environment.
She is also a coach, mentor and trained facilitator, and works regularly with boards and senior management teams to help them think through strategic issues around business growth, reputation and transformation. Her non-executive roles include chairing the National Energy Foundation and as a lay member of the Architects Registration Board. She was chair of TrustMark for seven years.
In addition to her career in PR and communications, which included five years as head of PR for the NHBC, she qualified as an energy assessor in 1989 and has maintained a lifelong interest in low carbon construction. Liz’s extensive PR experience includes leading campaigns for change on issues such as fire safety, energy efficiency and sustainability, the regulation of building control, skills and training, social housing procurement, planning, regeneration, MMC and quality in housing.
She has held roles on the Construction Leadership Council and the implementation board of the Each Home Counts review, and in 2015 she was awarded MBE for services to construction and consumer protection.
