Liz Male wins at Women Leaders Awards

Liz Male has scooped the MK50 Business Services Award at the 2017 Women Leaders awards.

At a glittering gala event, Liz Male MBE was recognised for her success in building a thriving business with a strong team, delivering outstanding results for clients throughout the construction industry. Liz is also a trustee of the National Energy Foundation in Milton Keynes, and received a MBE in the Queen’s 2015 New Year Honours for services to construction and consumer protection.

Meanwhile, the company is one of only five consultancies shortlisted for the best low budget campaign in the highly-respected Construction Marketing Awards.

LMC was selected for its work on the annual Fire Door Safety Week campaign, designed to improve fire safety in high rise blocks and other types of shared accommodation. The integrated PR, content marketing, public affairs and social media campaign has grown in reach and return on investment year on year since its creation in 2013, and this year is estimated to have reached more than 17.7 million people with important messages around fire safety in buildings.

Building leaders of the future

Liz said: “I was thrilled to win the MK50 Business Services Award as there were so many strong candidates and truly inspirational women shortlisted. It was also a wonderful experience to meet so many amazing women through these awards, and to learn about the support networks that exist in and around MK.

“However, for me the work never stops to keep on innovating. I’m always on the lookout for opportunities to surprise and delight our clients and the industry we serve. We exist to make construction and the built environment better known, better understood and better loved, and that work is needed more than ever before.

“My plans for LMC over the next few years are also focused on my team and the superb people I hope to attract, retain, train and develop to be the leaders of the future.”
