Saint-Gobain Weber is a worldwide leader in mortar-based solutions for building construction and renovation, including UK-manufactured renders and decorative finishes, tile fixing products, floor screeds, technical mortars and external wall insulation (EWI) systems.
With its face-to-face technical training academy closed due to lockdown in 2020 and many staff on furlough, Saint-Gobain Weber needed to find a new way to stay in touch with its customers. LMC suggested using Facebook Live to host short online interactive training events that could be easily accessed from a mobile phone.
Streamed fortnightly, the 10-minute Tea Break Talks covered practical topics such as how to prevent cracks in render and how to achieve brick effect render finishes.
Because it was the first time that Weber had used Facebook Live, we offered bespoke training and coaching to make sure every event went smoothly from the start. With successful promotion via Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram, the Tea Break Talks proved very popular throughout 2020 and 2021.
