UPDATE (August 2022)
LMC is recruiting right now for PR account managers and senior consultants, copywriters with journalism training and experience, and social media content creators.
You can also contact our Head of Recruitment, Holly Wilkinson, for further information on 07717 827887.
LMC is an award-winning team of experienced PR and communications experts, specialising in property, construction and the built environment. We work with the change-makers, innovators, thought leaders and international disrupters who have a clear purpose and vision to transform the industry and the quality of building and placemaking in the UK.
Have you been re-evaluating what you want from your career and quality of life?
We can offer you a fresh new start – intelligent and interesting work and meaningful career progression in a healthier, more flexible and family-friendly environment.
We are looking for people who share our core values, including a commitment to healthy relationships, ownership and responsibility, openness, attention to detail, curiosity, creativity, credibility. We particularly welcome applications from candidates from diverse backgrounds and under-represented groups – such candidates often only apply for roles they believe they are a perfect match for, but at LMC it’s your attitude and desire to build upon your existing PR and communications skills that matter most, so please do apply even if you feel you don’t tick every box.
LMC provides genuinely flexible working, plus a commitment to the very best training, development and support to establish your profile and professional status in the industry we serve.
You’ll be encouraged and supported to become a chartered practitioner (if you’re not already), and to take on industry leadership and mentoring roles.
Everyone at LMC is given coaching and support to develop a chosen superpower so that they can become the ‘go to’ person for that area of technical expertise.
This may include digital strategy, social media strategy and management, internal communications, ESG strategy, social value, corporate communications, media relations, research, thought leadership campaigns, content marketing, SEO, video, crisis communications, event planning and delivery, digital content creation, website development, media training, email marketing, brand consultancy, change management or any other area that interests you most.
- Are you looking for a better work/life balance, in an environment that nurtures your wellbeing and gets you closer to nature?
- Do you want to progress your career in a consultancy with greater responsibility, autonomy and variety of experience?
- Are you ready to build your personal profile as a national expert in built environment PR and communications?
Flexible working at LMC is an attitude, not just a policy that says two days a week in the office. It’s been our approach for over 20 years.
For some of our team, flexible working means different start and finish times, or an easier way of working that also allows them to care for children or elderly parents. It means having the tools that allow you to do your best work in the right place and time that suits you, your team and your clients. It might mean working part-time, or having the ability to get additional holiday, or customising other benefits that improve your quality of life.
We are always open to tailoring roles to suit the right candidates.
Internships at LMC
We offer a range of valuable, structured internships for graduates and undergraduates interested in a career in PR and marketing communications.
Interns are expected to bring strong creative value to the business. All internships are paid positions, typically with a fixed-term contract of six months or more. All interns receive training and mentoring.
A fixed-term contract is designed to give you a chance to learn about our company and culture, and to get your teeth into a project. Part-time paid internships may also be available for undergradates looking to fit in an internship with their studies.
Shorter-term periods of voluntary work experience are sometimes available in the school holidays for sixth formers or younger students too, as a taster to help you understand a new industry and the world of work before deciding your chosen career path.
If you’d like to request a paid internship or voluntary work experience at LMC, please get in touch. You will need to complete a short application form to outline your experience to date (if applicable), the reason that you are applying to LMC, and what you are looking for in a role.
