Liz Male Consulting is a small, independent and highly professional public relations consultancy based in North Buckinghamshire.
The company was set up by Liz Male in March 2001, building on her specialist experience in corporate PR, marketing communications and issues management in the UK architectural, construction, property, energy and environment sectors. Liz started her career in journalism, followed by a brief stint in consumer PR (far too fluffy for her tastes). She worked within the property sector for over 14 years in London, including in-house positions as press officer for Barton Willmore Partnership (architects and town planners), PR manager for the NHBC (the independent regulatory and standard-setting body for the UK house building industry), and several years in-between as a corporate communications consultant working with developers, builders and energy efficiency specialists. Liz worked for several years with top twenty corporate communications agency Fishburn Hedges. Here she provided advice and hands-on support to private and public sector organisations, including leading teams to work with Shell International, BAA Lynton, One NorthEast, The Countryside Agency, the Federation of Master Builders, Equitas and Nuffield Hospitals. She has written extensively on design, property, construction and energy efficiency issues, both under her own name and for clients. Liz is a Member of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) and a committee member of CAPSIG, the IPR's Construction and Property Specialist Interest Group. She also belongs to the International Building Press, a network group for journalists and press officers in property and construction, and CiB, the British Association of Communicators in Business.
